INFOTECH FORTY 2009
The editors of Fortune Magazine are convening the FORTUNE INFOTECH FORTY, a select group of chief information officers, chief technology officers, and enterprise leaders who are shaping the way corporations are using technology to advance important business goals and transform their companies.
The group first convened for a high-level strategy session on July 22 at the Langham Hotel in Pasadena, Calif. The session, led by the editors of Fortune, provided participants with an opportunity to hear from some of the most strategic technology executives operating in the world today, and will give council members a chance to share their opinions, perspectives, and concerns about the best ways to deploy technology — especially in economically challenging times.
These perspectives help inform Fortune's award-winning technology coverage throughout the year, and the editors will seek the council's input on issues of technology and innovation for stories that appear in the magazine's fortnightly TECHNOLOGY section, as well as feature stories, profiles, and interviews, and video segments that appear on Fortune.com and CNNMoney.com.
We believe Fortune can provide tech executives with a unique opportunity to hear from not only each other, but also the top technology thinkers and global business executives who rely increasingly on tech to make their companies work.
